This year our pupils and staff had a brilliant time dressing up as characters from their favourite books for World Book Day.

Before we broke up for the half term holidays, Beech and Maple Classes rounded off their pottery topic with a visit to the Perfectly Potty Pottery in Winchester.

On Thursday 5th February Ash Class went to Rosie’s Chocolate Factory near Wargrave.

Following on from National Storytelling Week, which took place from Monday 2nd to Sunday 8th February, Chestnut and Pine classes were very happy to welcome local children's author, J-J Murray, into class.

This term the pupils in Beech and Maple classes have been learning about pottery through the ages.

Beech and Maple Classes made their own beautiful hand painted Christmas baubles when the visited The Ugly Duckling Pottery Studio in Newbury last Thursday (11th December).

Maple Class enjoyed some extra special activities when they visited Hungerford Hub and Library on Tuesday 9th December.

On Tuesday (2nd December) the 8 winners of our Christmas Tree Decorating Competition went to Willis Farm Christmas Trees to make their own decorations out of foliage and pine cones and to choose the School's Christmas Tree.

It's National Tree Week. As well as learning about the important part that trees play in our environment (because they produce oxygen, absorb carbon dioxide to combat climate change, and provide essential habitats for wildlife) we've been holding a Christmas Tree Decorating Competition.

Pine Class started to get ready for Christmas when they took a trip to the The Ugly Duckling Pottery Studio in Newbury.

This term, Hazel Class have been exploring 'We’re Going on a Bear Hunt'! They engaged in a fun sensory tuff tray activity, identifying the different terrains the family travel through on their bear hunt.

Maple class' Woody from Toy Story scarecrow was awarded third prize in Beale Wildlife Park's Halloween Scarecrow Competition.

Before we broke up for the half term holiday Chestnut held their own Halloween party in class. Staff and pupils dressed up as Gru and Dave from Minions, a spooky witch and Jack Skellington from The Nightmare Before Christmas.

On Friday 14th March students from Elm class created some colourful artwork for the Hindu festival of Holi.

Elm class have to their creativity to build their own Roz the Robots from the book 'The Wild Robot'.

Everyone in Hazel class has been busy with their learning this half term.

Elm and Ash classes recently took a combined trip to STEAM - The Museum of the Great Western Railway in Swindon.

Ash class have taken part in a variety of different activities so far this year.

On Wednesday 8th January Maple Class began the New Year with a visit to Oxford University Museum of Natural History.
