Christmas Tips for Autistic People and Their Families

Christmas is a time of joy and celebration, but it can be difficult for some autistic people.

The National Autistic Society have compiled a list of autism-friendly tips for the festive period. Contact, the charity for families with disabled children, have also got some really great advice to help ensure you can take a breath over the festive period and enjoy the time with your families, instead of it becoming another stressful period. The Autism Berkshire Helpline team will be happy to advise you if you have any questions about preparing for the Christmas period. You can send them a message via the contact form on their website or call 01189 594 594 (option 1) and leave a voicemail, including a daytime phone number. With good planning and clear communication, we hope these tips will help you to have an enjoyable Christmastime.
