World Book Day Fun!

World Book Day is an annual charity event, that takes place on 5th March 5 in the UK and Ireland. It is dedicated to fostering a love of reading among children and young people.

Created by UNESCO in 1995 to celebrate authors, illustrators, and reading globally, it was first celebrated in the UK in 1997.

It promotes reading for pleasure, which is linked to improved life chances, increased empathy, and better educational outcomes

This year our pupils and staff had a brilliant time dressing up as characters from their favourite books. Their costumes were amazing and it was a really fun and special day at school. We’re already planning our costumes for next year!
