On Tuesday (2nd December) the 8 winners of our Christmas Tree Decorating Competition went to Willis Farm Christmas Trees to make their own decorations out of foliage and pine cones and to choose the School's Christmas Tree.

When we arrived at the Farm we were amazed how many trees there were to choose from! We had a good look at all the different types of trees available and settled on a lovely, tall Nordman Fir which we'll be putting up outside school. The tree was so big and heavy it took several adults to put the tree through the the netting funnel!
After selecting our tree we went into the barn (which smelled of Christmas - oranges and cinnamon) and our pupils made some pretty decorations by tying pine cones and dried fruit onto sprigs of foliage.
Our prize winners really enjoyed getting out into the Hampshire countryside for a fun afternoon of activities. Thanks to the team at Willis Farm Christmas Trees for hosting us.
