It's National Tree Week. As well as learning about the important part that trees play in our environment (because they produce oxygen, absorb carbon dioxide to combat climate change, and provide essential habitats for wildlife) we've been holding a Christmas Tree Decorating Competition.

Before we broke up for the half term holiday Chestnut held their own Halloween party in class. Staff and pupils dressed up as Gru and Dave from Minions, a spooky witch and Jack Skellington from The Nightmare Before Christmas.

Elm class are currently reading 'Bob - No ordinary Cat' by James Bowen. They have researched different types of poetry and wrote their own poems based on concepts in the book they have read about so far.

On Friday 14th March students from Elm class created some colourful artwork for the Hindu festival of Holi.
