Smiles and Medals All Round at Oaklands School's Annual Sports Day

At the end of the Summer Term the whole of Oaklands School participated in our annual Sports Day.

The younger pupils took part in a range of fun games within the school grounds in the morning, while the older students enjoyed taking part in several different activities on the pitch at Hungerford Town Football Club in the afternoon.

The events allowed our pupils (and staff) to try out a range of skills used in a variety of sports including archery, football, athletics and tennis.

It was wonderfully enjoyable day which culminated in the awarding of special medals, which recognised every pupils' effort and participation in Sports Day. But the highlight of the day (from our pupils point of view) was being able to run through the massive sprinkler and getting soaking wet! It was a hot summer's day afterall.
