Hazel get Moving for National Fitness Day
National Fitness Day is an annual campaign led by ukactive that celebrates the role physical activity plays across the UK, raising awareness of its importance in helping people lead healthier lifestyles.
Since launching in 2011, National Fitness Day has inspired millions of people to get involved each year. While bringing people together through physical activity remains at the heart of the campaign, it has evolved to encourage everyone to see the day as the start of a much bigger journey towards improved health and wellbeing.
This year’s tagline, “Powered by You,” highlights that everyone has a role to play and opportunity to be active — from individuals and communities to businesses, schools and hospitals.
National Fitness Day isn’t just about one day of activity; it’s about taking small, sustainable steps towards a healthier, stronger future.
This year's National Fitness Day took place on Wednesday 16th September, and Wednesday is the day of the week that Hazel class have their weekly PE session, lead by our PE Lead, Rhys Tyler.
Here they are using a range of PE equipment in our Tealgate Campus playground.
