First Oaklands Pupil Achieves GCSE Success

On 20th August we learned that Isaiah, formerly of Ash Class, achieved a Grade 5 in his Physics GCSE. This is Oaklands School's first ever GCSE result and Isaiah successfully gained the highest possible grade for his foundation studies.

Isaiah's score of 178 marks out of 200 converts to 89%, exceptional in itself but also because he completed his Physics studies in just one year, instead of the usual two years.

We are grateful to John O'Gaunt School, Hungerford, for supporting Isaiah's exam entry and for allowing him access to their Science Laboratory to complete some of the Physics Required Practicals.

Ash Class and Oaklands School are immensely proud of Isaiah; we all wish him the very best as he starts his college courses and personal development programme at West Berkshire Training Consortium (WBTC) this month.
