Celebrating Isaiah's Maths Success

We were ecstatic to hear that Isaiah, in Ash class, had achieved 91% in his recent Open Awards Level 1 Functional Skills Qualification in Mathematics! It's the first formal exam Isaiah has ever taken and this is a simply outstanding result.

Open Awards is an awarding organisation and registered charity committed to supporting learner achievement, meaningful training and accessible education. For over 45 years, Open Awards has been changing lives through learning by developing qualifications that make a difference.

The primary purpose of the Open Awards Functional Skills Qualification in Mathematics at

Level 1 is to support learners to progress to the next level of learning in this subject. It can

also support entry to employment or development within employment. The

qualification was designed to help learners develop their Mathematics skills in a practical,

rather than academic, context.

A HUGE WELL DONE to Isaiah for his exceptional hard work and to Chris, Ash Class Teacher, for his maths coaching. We also wish Isaiah well for his forthcoming Level 2 Open Awards Functional Skills Qualification in Mathematics and his GCSE exams in Physics.
