Two Campuses - One School
During the summer of 2026 we expanded our school from one to two campus buildings – our existing campus (Tealgate) and a new campus (Herongate) which is just across the road from Tealgate, opposite the Herongate Club.
Our two-campus model enables us to organise classes and learning communities in ways that reflect pupils’ differing cognitive profiles, developmental stages and individual needs.
Each campus provides a smaller, more cohesive community where pupils can build positive relationships, feel understood and develop a strong sense of belonging. This allows us to provide learning environments that are appropriately matched to pupils, while ensuring they receive the specialist educational, therapeutic and pastoral support they need.
Although classes are based across two campuses, Oaklands remains one school. Both campuses share the same values, leadership, policies, safeguarding arrangements, curriculum approach, behaviour expectations and high standards.
Staff communicate regularly and leaders work across both sites to ensure consistency and respond effectively to pupils’ needs. Staffing, therapy, resources and supervision are planned across the school so that pupils remain safe, supported and able to make progress.
Although we operate across two campuses, we are one school with one culture and one set of standards.
