Chestnut Class

Welcome to Chestnut class
Our class follows the Green Pathway within the Learning to Learn framework. This pathway allows us to explore the seven areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, and an adapted Key Stage 1 Curriculum for English and Maths. Through this method, we ensure each child's individual educational journey is both fulfilling and successful.
We take pride in our play-paced approach, emphasising the importance of securing foundational knowledge while prioritising the safety and social development of each child. Play is at the heart of learning in our classroom, enabling children to explore concepts at their own pace and in ways that best suit them.
Our afternoons are dedicated to a hands-on, inquiry-based approach. This encourages children to engage in activities driven by mutual interests and to acquire vital life skills.
