Cedar Class

Welcome to Cedar Class – a nurturing and inclusive learning environment designed to meet the unique needs of our wonderful learners.
Cedar Class is led by Class Teacher Alli Barlow and three amazing and supportive Teaching Assistants, Claire Abott, Emily Noon and Nia Vallence. Together, we create a calm, structured and engaging space where every child can thrive emotionally, socially, and academically.
Our day starts off with handwriting, reading and phonics or spelling (depending on the needs of the children) and leads into the core subjects of English and Maths. In the afternoons we dive into all other areas of the curriculum. Science is a favourite, we love learning about the world around us and how things work. We are very creative and love to make things, be it art or design, a Lego model or making cakes and delicious goodies, we ‘learn by doing’ it ourselves.
Our curriculum would not be complete without regular PE sessions, swimming, a regular weekly walk, a visit to the Hungerford Library and one of our favourites, a visit to a local wood. Outdoor Learning is an essential part of our week.
Our learners feel safe and relaxed in their environment and are happy to come to school. Come and see us and say hello.
